I am not going to deny the fact that, before I began training with Paul Connor I did train hard in the gym and I was reasonably happy with my figure, however my training has progressed massively since I began training with Paul. I had never picked up weights before because I thought probably the same way as most women think, that lifting weights would make me bigger not slimmer. How I was so wrong. Paul introduced me to resistance training and this has been the way forward to sculpting the desired body. Paul as a trainer is very professional, motivating, caring and inspirational and is unique in what he does. Encouragement and dedication are some of his many qualities. Paul’s attention to detail and exercise selection for specific body parts has been extremely beneficial and without this I wouldn’t have seen the changes I have. The programs that he designs are challenging, original and fulfilling.
The money I have invested into sculpting my figure has helped me with landing modelling contracts and securing lucrative positions in the entertainments industry.
Whether you are serious about losing weight, achieving specific goals or just want some encouragement with your training, Paul’s knowledge, expertise and passion can make the difference. The success I have had since training with Paul has been incredible and I really would recommend anybody to give him a try and reap the rewards. Training with Paul has changed my life!

A little under 9 months ago I engaged the services of Paul Connor as my personal trainer. Over the past few years I had lost a lot of weight and have always been very conscious about my body but on my initial consultation with Paul and even though apprehensive, he re-assured me that by working together he could help me to achieve my desired target area’s along with improving my overall fitness.
Paul’s interaction and support during this period has been exemplary and I have found him to be very personable therefore allowing me to build a rapport with him, whilst maintaining a real level of professionalism at all times.
He has challenged me to push myself and improve even when I have resisted but at all times this has never been intimidating or aggressive just the actions of someone who is clearly passionate about what they do and wants their clients to reach their full potential. Through Paul’s guidance I have learnt how to make the most out of my workout times. I have seen my fitness and physic improve and I feel more confident about my image.
I would and have recommended Paul’s services to others and will continue to do so.

What can I say, it takes time, effort and energy to reach your goals and if it wasn’t for Paul Connor, I would never have achieved my aim…...
Early in 2007, I commenced a training regime of attending the gym two to three times a week. The effort paid off, my fitness increased but I knew I could still do more for myself. At this time I decided I needed additional assistance and who better than ‘Mr Motivator’. With Paul’s inspiration, motivation, guidance, advice and most of all, his faith in me and my abilities, I trained hard and lost over two stone.
By April, for some crazy reason I thought I no longer needed Paul and decided to go it alone and unfortunately, my efforts failed and my commitment was lost. I only attended the gym once a week, if I was lucky, didn’t put much effort into my diet and hence, the weight slowly crept on.
By August, I was back to hating myself, knowing only too well that turning 40 was just around the corner and so I gave myself a stern talking to and commenced regular weekly workouts and a diet plan. Although the weight slowly crept off, my fitness level became stalemate. I knew from training with Paul I could work a great deal harder and I needed to have the same faith in myself that Paul had in me. After several months with no gain or anything to show for my efforts, I took the bull by the horns, hung my head in shame and spoke to Paul about recommencing my training with him. As usual, his enthusiasm won hands down and by November I was back training three to four times a week, training with Paul on a weekly basis which I have to say, he pushed me hard and I hated it at times but the workouts were productive, enjoyable but challenging and the end result worthwhile. I lost three plus stone, decreased my body fat by half and increased my fitness no end.
I openly admit it was a long road to get to where I am but hand on heart, if Paul hadn’t pushed me, had faith in my abilities and passed on his enthusiasm and motivation, I would still be three stone heavier, still be 40 and hating myself. Even when I stopped training with Paul, he always asked how I was getting on, stayed in contact. Looking back, I should have trained with Paul from the very beginning and now, I really enjoy our sessions!
A True Professional…. Many thanks Paul…..

I was suffering with an increasing amount of pain and poor mobility in my shoulders as a result of an accident I had some time ago. I couldn’t get into an exercise routine as the pain would increase and I would have to stop. I was overweight due to a lack of exercise. I went to see Hayley, she assessed me and then worked out a programme for me. Within a few weeks the pain had gone and I had improved mobility and my weight started to reduce. She has worked on new programmes for me as my condition has improved and I have now lost over 2 stone, am much more flexible and am now able to exercise without pain.

Fat, Forty and unfit….Still forty, but fitter, flatter and much healthier
Turning forty was not a good time for me. I was way overweight, very unfit, with advancing high blood pressure and a doctor threatening a lifetime of medication. Clearly it was time for Something to be done. I joined the gym, but seemed to be making little progress.
A personal trainer seemed to be in order and Hayleys profile suggested a good match for a man with sub-optimal attitude and aptitude. An initial appointment was made and I had a frank discussion with Hayley when we first met:
Her; What do you enjoy about the gym?
Me; Nothing!
She then realised the size of her challenge before her was more then just my belly, clearly a liking of the exercise needed to be cultivated. That would require more than nagging – this is available for free at home.
Luckily for me, Hayley has ways and means to encourage the most reluctant to exercise – some of them even hurt very little. We worked together on a programme to gradually build up my exercise tolerance, with an eye to the restrictions imposed by my blood pressure – I now realise that this was also for Hayley’s benefit – dead clients cant write testimonials.
Nine months on, I now visit the gym on a voluntary basis. I even enjoy some of the exercise – it’s a revelation having a regime that does not involve slogging away on a treadmill, but still produces results. My weight is down by over 30kg’s, my blood pressure is well into the normal zone and I’ve been able to retire the team of wild horses that used to take me to LA Fitness.
If you need someone to take you by the hand and work out a sympathetic exercise programme, that gets results, give Hayley a call.

Recovery after a broken ankle
At the beginning of June 2005 I broke bone in my left ankle. This was my inside medial malleolus, and the fracture meant that my left leg from below the knee to my toes was encased in a cast for 5 weeks. This was a considerable annoyance to me because up to this time I had been an active person attending the gym regularly and participating occasionally in 10km and half marathon runs.
Shortly before the cast was taken off, I made an appointment with Hayley Robinson at LA Fitness to discuss a programme for getting me going again as soon as the cast was taken off. I had been informed that Hayley specialises in recuperative Personal Training and is a runner herself. My objective was to get back to the level where I had been before the fracture.
So in early July the cast was taken off, and on the next day I was in the gym with Hayley. At this stage I had put on weight, could hardly walk without crutches and had lost a lot of strength in my left leg. For the next 6 months she took me through a programme to put me right again. This started with exercises to give flexibility in the ankle while building up the strength in the left leg but without becoming unbalanced. She gradually increased the intensity of the exercises and programmes, while carefully assessing my progress at each stage.
This programme has strengthened my muscles and got me running again. It has given me the confidence to enter the Liverpool half marathon in March 2006.

I started my personal training sessions with Hayley four months after the birth of my second child, who was delivered by caesarean section. I felt that I needed inspiration, motivation and guidance as I had previously had three back operations following a slipped disc and was unsure how to exercise without hurting myself.
My main objective were to help my asthma and increase my energy levels, which has happened and as a big bonus I have lost almost two stone!!!!
I look forward to my session every week and feel without her encouragement I would not have kept the momentum that allowed me to achieve these results.
I never thought that I would become someone who would enjoy exercise and make it part of my life, but this has happened and I am even thinking about venturing into an aerobics class!
