Work Station Ergonomics

Health and Safety regulations has made work station ergonomics a priority so that employees can reduce possible long term health effects from unsuitable desk set up arrangements.

Guidelines given and enforced to both employer and employees include seating height, support and position. Desk position and suitability for the role of the employer.  Arm and foot rests where necessary.

Prolonged periods of time at a workstation without adopting guidelines can and will lead to poor posture.  Poor posture can lead to Lower Back & Neck Pain, Injury, Stress/Tension, Tiredness and Circulatory problems.

By assessing people individually and with possible current poor posture (symptoms); Exercise Programs that include stretching, corrective postural strengthening exercises, can be tailor-made to correct poor postural habits, correct workstation set up and relieve them of pain/injuries which may be leading to excessive “sick days”, and not enough “employee productivity.”
